About the North Park Planning Committee
The North Park Planning Committee (NPPC) is a volunteer-elected board that represents the residents of North Park in the City of San Diego. We serve as a public forum where community members can discuss, explore, and monitor land use and development issues that shape our neighborhood.
Our work takes place during monthly general meetings and through two active subcommittees:
Urban Design & Project Review (UDPR)
Public Facilities & Transportation (PFT)
Communications
All meetings are open to the public, and we encourage your participation. The more residents engage, the better we can guide the thoughtful growth and stewardship of North Park.
While the NPPC is not a decision-making body, we play a vital role in making recommendations to the City’s elected officials. We help ensure that community concerns are heard and directed to the appropriate channels within local government.
Each meeting includes:
Neighborhood announcements and upcoming events
Reports from elected officials
Public comment period for resident concerns
Informational presentations and updates
Ways to Get Involved
Attend monthly general and subcommittee meetings
Learn how city government works and how its decisions impact North Park
Hear directly from city representatives, developers, and neighbors about future plans
Ask questions and share your perspective on issues before the NPPC
Together, we help shape a North Park that reflects the values and voices of its residents.
