Subcommittees

Reviews and evaluates mobility, traffic safety issues, and other transportation planning issues. The subcommittee identifies community needs and develops recommendations to improve the safety, accessibility, and efficiency of existing and future mobility infrastructure. Examples include, but are not limited to: requests for angled parking or other parking policy; requests for stops signs, crosswalks, and traffic calming measures; requests for transit signal priority; requests for quick-build solutions; transit improvement requests; and Capital Improvement Projects relating to mobility.

Agendas

Reviews development proposals, land use matters, planning initiatives, and proposed infrastructure projects affecting the built environment. The subcommittee evaluates projects for consistency with the North Park Community Plan and provides recommendations to support high‐quality development. Examples include, but are not limited to: placemaking initiatives; easement vacations; review of discretionary permits and discretionary projects; advocating for public facility improvements; and facilitating community input on Capital Improvement Projects related to urban design and public facilities.

Agendas

Supports transparent, and accessible communication between the North Park Planning Committee, community members, stakeholders, and elected officials. The subcommittee manages outreach tools, public information materials, and engagement strategies to ensure residents are informed about North Park Planning Committee meetings, actions, and opportunities for participation. The subcommittee also provides support for initiatives advanced by the subcommittees. Examples include, but are not limited to: petitions, community surveys, announcements, website and social media updates, tabling, and election outreach support.
