The NPPC is the City‑recognized, volunteer‑elected board that represents North Park residents. We serve as an advisory body, offering land use, infrastructure, and street safety recommendations to elected officials.
NPPC board members are elected via a popular vote of eligible voters within the North Park Community Planning Area (see map here).
The timelines vary from year to year, but in general elections are held in March, and the February meeting will include an opportunity for candidates to give a brief speech. Candidates must submit proof of eligibility, and optionally a brief statement. Candidate statements and headshots are posted publicly.

7 seats are open for election on the 15-person board.
Elected members will serve full 2-year terms.

Candidate and Voter Eligibility
To be an eligible community member an individual must be at least 18 years of age, and shall be affiliated with the community as one of the following:
A North Park resident, who is an individual whose primary address of residence is an address in the North Park community planning area (see map here).
A North Park property owner, who is an individual identified as the sole or partial owner of record or their designee of a real property (either developed or undeveloped) within the North Park community planning area; however, only one property owner per North Park property may vote and/or run for election to the North Park Planning Committee Board.
A non-resident North Park business owner, who must be either the sole or partial owner of a business or not-for-profit organization located within the North Park or designee at a non-residential real property address in the community planning area; however, only one non-resident business may hold a seat per North Park property owner or business.
