RED CURB SPACE INTO COMMUNITY PLACE
Assembly Bill 413 makes it illegal to park within 20 feet of a crosswalk. This rule, called daylighting, helps drivers and walkers see each other better and stay safe.
The NPPC is asking neighbors to support a pilot program that turns these red curb areas into useful spaces for the community; like bike racks, benches, planters, or art.
These small changes will keep the safety benefits of daylighting while making sure our limited public space works everyone.
